Our curtain fabrics aren’t simply beautiful – you can design them to work harder for your home, too. Once you’ve chosen your favourite pattern and colour, you can add the headings, accessories and lining of your choice. If you choose our energy reflective (ER) linings, they’ll also help you regulate room temperature, save money on your heating bills and reduce or dispense with the need for air conditioning.
Here’s a small selection of our best-selling curtain fabrics, some of which come in a wide range of different colours, and all of which can be tailored to your room with ER lining. Some are suitable for blinds too, and you can have matching sofa covers (or reupholstery) and scatter cushions.
Best selling curtain fabrics
Cardinal – Blush
Our customers love our velvet curtain fabrics and Cardinal – Blush is one of their favourites. Cardinal is a stunning and versatile plain velvet fabric, soft and luxurious to the touch. This is another 100% polyester fabric suitable for sofa covers and reupholstery too. To clean, use a 30°C cycle or hand wash.
If the warm pink of Cardinal – Blush doesn’t suit your colour scheme, the good news is that Cardinal is available in 48 other colours.
Clementine – Wedgwood
Clementine – Wedgwood is an elegant floral design that looks stunning as curtains and sofa covers. Alternatively, it works just as well as reupholstery or luxury curtains too. As this fabric is 100% polyester, you can pop your curtains (or sofa covers) into the washing machine on a 30°C cycle or hand wash them. They’re also suitable for dry cleaning.
This classic blue design is one of our best selling fabrics and it’s also available in Clementine – Red Green.
Bayswater – Olive
As a blend of the versatility of polyester and the timelessness of cotton, Bayswater – Olive is among our best-selling curtain fabrics. It’s a lovely woven fabric that will bring a stunning finish to your living room. Made from 52% polyester and 48% cotton, it’s suitable for sofa covers, scatter cushions and reupholstery too.
Bayswater is one of our customer’s favourite fabric ranges, possibly because it’s available in more than 50 colours and a 30°C is all that’s needed to give it some TLC.
Tweet & Bramble – Stone
Tweet & Bramble – Stone is a gorgeous print from Edinburgh Weavers incorporating flowers, birds, leaves and fruit on a linen look fabric. Suitable for sofa covers, reupholstery and accessories, this is a cotton rich material with a 20% blend of polyester.
You can wash your curtains at home on a 30°C cycle or by hand. Curtains made from this popular fabric can also be dry cleaned. Tweet & Bramble is also available in Tweet & Bramble – Lemon and Tweet & Bramble – Navy.
900+ fabrics, 4 linings
Plumbs curtains are made-to-measure and fully lined, with blind hems and mitred corners, for that perfect seamless finish. You can also choose curtain pelmets, headings (like pencil pleat, pinch pleat and eyelet), tie-backs and accessories.
You have a choice of 4 linings.
- Standard – helps the curtains drape beautifully and protects the fabric from fading
- Blackout -blocks light, protects the curtains from fading and keeps rooms cool
- Thermal interlining – keeps rooms warmer in winter and cooler in summer
- Energy reflective – has the combined properties of blackout and thermal linings
Energy reflective (ER) curtain lining
ER is proven to reflect heat energy out of, or into, a window. It also traps insulating air and excludes drafts, a true thermal.
These properties keep rooms naturally warmer or cooler, depending on the season. Curtains lined with ER help you keep your heating and cooling costs down.
