It’s that exciting time of year when most of us are eagerly anticipating our Summer holidays. However if you’re not off abroad this year, we’ve collated a range of looks that will take you right back to your favourite holiday memories!
Modern Moroccan
Moroccan design is all about strong colours and eclectic accessories. Think intricate woodwork, Gold and Copper accents, and jewelled tones. To make this look work in your home, I suggest keeping to one or two colours throughout the scheme
French Chic
French style is all about soft whites, antique furniture and an abundance of florals. This style will work well in all types of homes, but is more suited to a country cottage type setting. This look can be achieved by renovating existing tired furniture, simply by painting white and distressing.
African Influences
Natural materials are a strong theme throughout African design. Wood, stone, and animal skins are typical trends found in this part of the world. To recreate a similar look at home keep fabrics neutral, go for dark and imperfect wooden furniture (such as stools and coffee tables), and accessorise with artefacts.
Greek
White walls and linens keep the Grecian look fresh and by adding patterns or ‘keys’ around borders (cushions and rugs work particularly well) you can create a visually interesting look. Although Blue and White are the most popular colour combination when we think of Greece, a monochrome look can achieve the same look but with a modern twist
Going global when looking for interior design inspiration gives us a huge amount of styles, colours and trends to choose from. You may want to think back to previous holidays and where you’ve felt most comfortable, or be inspired by somewhere you’ve always dreamed of visiting.
