Southport Flower Show Welcomes New and Returning Exhibitors like Plumbs

Returning for another year, the widely popular Southport Flower Show is back with more inspiring gardens, celebrity guests and demonstrations. From 16th – 19th August Victoria Park will play host to hundreds of new and returning exhibitors, amongst them Loose Covers and Re-upholstery specialists Plumbs.

The event will be the eleventh show of the year in Plumbs’ event calendar, and is a first time the family have exhibited at the show in the last 5 years. Chris Plumb, business development manager and co-ordinator of Plumbs’ exhibitions, expresses his excitement for the event:

“It’s always exciting revisiting a venue as popular at the Southport Flower Show. The business has grown so much in the last five years, we have a huge range of beautiful fabrics and brand new products to showcase.” He continues, “It will be a great opportunity to show visitors how we have changed in recent years. We’re confident they will be pleasantly surprised.”

Plumbs eye-catching display will be situated at stand E57, and will showcase over 400 fabrics for visitors to touch and feel. Chris himself will be on hand to answer any questions and give advice about their re-upholstery and loose covers service.

New to the stand this year is their new brand Prestige Re-upholstery, a luxury re-upholstery service for customers looking for that extra wow-factor. Launched earlier this year, the brand offers a stunning range of branded fabrics from renowned British design houses.

Alongside Chris on the stand this year will be real life upholsterer Mick Delaney. The authentic star of Plumbs latest TV campaign, Mick will be taking to the spotlight once again with a live re-upholstery demonstration throughout the 4-day event.

The Southport Flower Show ordinarily attracts over 70,000 visitors, making it the largest independent flower show in the UK. Highlights of this year’s show will include jousting medieval knights, free flying birds of prey, dog displays, book signing and cookery presentations. Guest appearances from Professor David Bellamy OBE, Sir Roddy Llewellyn and Professor Stefan Buczacki are also set to draw the crowds.
